The mature landscape was professionally designed to make the home blend seamlessly into the natural setting, using only indigenous plant species. Behind the home lies a large expanse of dedicated Green Space, conserved in perpetuity,...offering the most incredible views. Thoughtfully constructed by a builder trained as a structural engineer, the exterior features cement-plank siding, impact-resistant windows and doors, Ipe decking, a standing-seam metal vaulted-barrel roof, and stainless steel cable railings. The entry features a custom, handmade wooden teak door from India, an absolute statement piece. The front door sets the tone for what is discovered inside... The foyer extends into the living room and features a barrel ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing in beautiful light and offering views of the palms and oaks in the front and rear yards. The living, dining, and kitchen areas are open, with a seamless flow for entertaining. A wall of windows mimics a collection of paintings of Live Oak trees in their natural setting. The home features a gas fireplace, an open dining space, and a chef's kitchen. The kitchen features all-white cabinetry, a white subway-tile backsplash, and stainless-steel GE Monogram and Bosch appliances, including a 5-burner gas cooktop, a wall oven and microwave, a wine refrigerator, and a stainless-steel hood vent. Just off the kitchen is the perfect office space with outside access and a laundry room. Next to the kitchen and living area are a screened porch with a gas fireplace and a separate covered deck, just two of the home's six outdoor spaces. Conveniently located near the living room is a powder room and a 3-stop elevator for guests. The first-floor primary suite features incredible natural light, a large bath with dual vanities, granite countertops, a freestanding tub, a custom tiled shower with a rainhead, and a large walk-in closet with a custom closet system. The stairs to the second floor feature a contemporary stainless steel cable railing and a tower of windows. Upstairs, a second large living area and office space feature soaring ceilings and decks on either end. Both decks are partially covered by the fabulous barrel roof and have cypress tongue-and-groove wood ceilings. The deck surfaces, composed of individual floating Ipe decking panels, offer dramatic views of the surrounding site and the forest below. Also upstairs are three guest bedrooms: one with an en suite bathroom and two that share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. A loft area provides additional storage and access to the roof for maintenance and cleaning. The ground floor includes a fully enclosed two-car garage and a separate dehumidified, climate-controlled storage room. This uniquely designed home sets itself apart and is so thoughtfully designed and constructed, and, most of all, lovingly cared for. SEE ATTACHED VIDEO, VIRTUAL TOUR, AND FLOOR PLANS. Read Less
